Strawberry-Mango Cupcakes, An Experiment

Strawberry-Mango Cupcakes, an experiment

Yesterday we baked up some strawberry-mango cupcakes!  They didn't really turn out though.

First, mix strawberry cake mix with mango pulp and juice.  (From the picture you can tell we used Duncan Hines.)  Add what you needed to put in the batter (like eggs, oil and water), to the mixture.
Add maybe a 1/4 teasoon or a 1/2 teaspoon of extra baking powder.
Pour into baking cups or a greased cupcake pan and bake until it isn't gooey or too moist in the middle.
Top with any buttercream and toppings you like.  We did bubblegum buttercream and zebra marshmallows!

Caption: We used Duncan Hines frosting creations for the frosting, and don't forget the flavor packets, we grabbed a bubble gum packet!

Caption: The cupcakes turned out pretty flat on the first batch when we didn't add extra baking powder.

Jello and Welcome!

Hi, I'm Grace!  Yellow, I'm...MOLLY!
This is our new blog, 'The Cake Rebels'.  We're not against cake, we're against non-creativity, even though some of our creations have simple decor, they still.....ROCK THE HOUSE! :D

Like this one, (no decor, but simply...DELISH!) chocolate-chip cookie dough on the bottom, in the middle miniature Reese's Cups, bottoms up!  On top brownie batter!

See?  The recipe was totally creative!

We hope you enjoy the blog!  *wink wink* ;) ;)
